It does a body good.
LOVED this moving.
And OMG I almost cried at the end.
Maybe more so because I realized a few days ago that Sean Penn totally resembles My Director, John. And THEN that Anne Kronenberg was 23 when Harvey Milk hired her. I'm 23, and John had "hired" me to be his stage manager. Neither of us (Anne or I) had ANY previous experience, but hired soley on commitment. (Though I knew John before this, and I'm sure Anne didn't know Harvey very well.)
She totally had the haircut I had in 7th grade. (Though I did not have that hair by choice.)
Also, besides Sean Penn and James Defranco, how the heck did these producers/director get so good at finding people who are DEAD ON look-a-likes for these people AND can act? Amazing.
I was so happy Sean won best actor. For the mere subject of the movie alone. Now I can say it's well deserved for acting as well.
I also HIGHLY reccomend "The Life and Times of Harvey Milk", which won Best Documentary in 1984 and that I watched just before "Milk".
EDIT: Ali, you wanna watch either of these? Otherwise I'ma delete them.
