I know what you all where all thinking: "OMG Lara's gonna post something other than macros!" (for better or worse, take your pick.)

But you're all... a bit wrong! For I bring MACROS *and* icons *and* a link to Adam Long's "Condensed History of Tony Blair" that he (and Simon and Mikey, who last names I don't know and neither does the webpage) did for BBC4.

Very nice tunes with it too. 14 minutes, ram file.

Icons! I made the first two upon request of [livejournal.com profile] maz_z for some Austin icons, but since we're all friends here, and sharing is caring, yeah okay, etc... However! If you do use, please give credit to me, thanks! (OMG I got through that line without the macro speak kicking in!)

Geez, Austin-heavy! Mostly caps from his spots on 'Felicity'. 5 behind the cut! )

Next time on "Lara and her incesent MACROS!" Shots from the America DVD and Austin in The Practice! Same reduced time, same reduced place!

Now, onto stuff that the RSC comm won't have to sit through. Remember my old Wilson "I need a job" graphics? Well, I need to make another (maybe with Austin...) because I totally do. They've worked me 4 days in the past TWO WEEKS! Why? Cuz the dumb-ass manager hired 10 yeah TEN hosts because she got the stupid idea that we would be busy during summer. Even the general manager complained, to us, but apparently didnt stop her from hiring anyone. So I need a better job so I can quit before I go bankrupt here... ARG!

But lookit the macros, me! And I will become my mood theme...y.

I had a dream the other night that featured Steve Whitmire. I knew him in this dream, apparently, but only aquintence wise or through someone else because I was supposed to be meeting him, in person for the first time. Well me and someone I don't know, who I aparently did and knew Steve, were waiting for Steve to get to the farm we were at. There was a long dirt road, kinda busy for a dirt road and we were watching cars go buy.

A green broke down piece of junk starts heading down, kicking dirt up everywhere.

Friend: "Is that him?" *squint*
Me: *squint* "Nah, that can't be him."

[CUT TO]

Steve, driving with both hands at 10 and 2, short hair and a goatee. Plus he's dropped about 20 pounds. And I do mean short. Like Bryan Singer short.

Me: *disappointed and dismayed* "It is him."

Steve: *jumps off a really big stunt ramp that appears from nowhere.*

The car lands, pieces fall off and he gets out of the car.

Then I woke up, because I woke up like, five times. I had about seven different dreams. One of which included Bruce Campbell, Ted and Sam Raimi and some kittens and theives.

The last night I had a dream that the cast of Hercules was in the musical episode of Xena called "Lyre, Lyre, Hearts of Fire." Of course Michael Hurst played The Widow Twanky and not Iolaus.

Speaking of which, I need ideas for this icon:

And finally,
The West Jersey Animal Shelter is closing at the end of this month. The Pennsauken, NJ shelter had it's license revoked due to unkept and dangerous conditions for the animals. There are currently 31 dogs and 5 cats on the premises that are in desperate need of adoption. If these animals are not adopted by the end of the month, they will be euthanized.

The West Jersey Animal Shelter is open for adoptions Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. and from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Phone (856) 486-2180.

I DON'T CARE WHERE YOU LIVE; WE'VE ALL GOT FRIENDS ON OUR LISTS FROM ALL OVER THE USA. PLEASE REPOST. EVERY REPOST COULD SAVE A ANIMAL'S LIFE.

Even if you can't adopt an animal, please repost this. Eventually it will reach someone who can. Even if only one pet is adopted, that's still a big difference for that animal's life.

I got into swing music back in the late 90s, just starting high school. You know, when it was suddenly popular again? My brother's prom even had a swing theme. He took lessons and rented a zoot suit. (Black with red pinstripes, if you're wondering.)

Just last night I watched "Swing Kids" with him and it completely distracted him from the computer game he was playing. Robert Sean Leonard now owns me.

I recently fell back in love with the music again some time ago after seeing "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" and getting all fan girly about Lupin's choice of music for his lessons. And then being quite disappointed when it wasn't included in the sound track. Ali ([livejournal.com profile] kittencuffs)who had gone to the movie with me tag along to a thrift shop, where I procured a Benny Goodman and a Duke Ellington LP. Both in decent condition and only a buck each! I love thrift shops! Unfortunately these two LPs weren't very "swinging", only moderately so.

She also lifted a 24 dollar antique hat (40s style, maybe a bit later) there as a gift for me. Early Christmas, says she. (I've also written a Remus and Sirius drabble on that. But I haven’t typed it up.. yet) And no tomatoes were harmed during the making of that robbery.

You'll get that joke if you've seen "Swing Kids." And if you haven't, you should. Soundtrack ain't too bad, either.

I also worked on my short House drabble today at work. Instead of House finding Wilson rockin' out to Independent Women by Destiny's Child, I when with a less one-line joke and had Wilson swing dancing by his lonesome. If you've seen Robert Sean Leonard dance, then you'll know why.

And a couple random icon's I've finished. When I do more, I'll post to the appropriate groups, but you guys are special.
Or are you... Or are you?
...Or... are you?
